What actually happens in the first conversation?
We talk about where you stand and where you want to go. I ask, you answer — no pitch, no pressure. At the end you know whether coaching makes sense for your situation and what it would cost. The first conversation is free and takes about 30 minutes. You decide afterwards. No invoice, no commitment.
How is career coaching different from recruitment? You do both.
Recruitment means I fill a specific vacancy for a company client. Career coaching means I work exclusively for you — your goals, your pace, your interests. The two are strictly separate. If you are a coaching client, I do not place you with companies without your active request and consent. Your data stays with me.
The advantage: I know exactly how companies think and decide. That knowledge goes directly into your coaching — without you having to be a candidate in my pipeline.
I’m currently employed. Is this confidential — even if you know my employer?
Yes. Unconditionally. Nothing that you tell me leaves this relationship. I do not contact your employer, I do not mention your name to companies, and I do not share your data with third parties — regardless of whether I have a client relationship with your employer or not. That is the foundation of everything we do here. Without that, coaching does not work.
How long does coaching take? How many sessions?
That depends on what you need. A pure CV optimisation with strategy consultation can be done in 2–3 sessions over 2–3 weeks. A full repositioning with application strategy, interview coaching and network building runs over several weeks to a few months. We discuss the realistic scope in the first conversation — so you know upfront what you are committing to.
How much time do I need to invest per week?
Roughly 2–4 hours per week, depending on the phase. Some weeks more (when documents are being built), some weeks less (when the market is responding). I adapt to your work rhythm. Most clients go through coaching while in full-time employment — that is the normal case, not the exception.
Why work with you and not a certified coach (ICF, DVCT)?
Certifications tell you that someone has completed a training programme. They say nothing about whether that person actually knows how companies hire, how CVs are evaluated, or what salary benchmarks are realistic in your industry.
I have been on the other side of the table for over 20 years — as a headhunter, briefed by companies, deciding which candidates get through and which do not. That is the knowledge that goes into your coaching. If you want pure self-reflection and life coaching, I am probably not the right person. If you want to navigate the job market more effectively, I am.
Can we work in German?
Yes. Most of my coaching takes place in German. The English website exists because a relevant part of my clients work in international environments and communicate in English professionally. You choose the language — in the first conversation and throughout the entire process.
What if I don’t get results?
I do not offer a money-back guarantee, and I will not promise you a specific number of interviews or offers. Anyone who does that is lying to you. What I do offer: I work with you until the agreed deliverables are in the best possible shape. If something is not working as expected, we talk about it and adjust. I have been doing this long enough to know what works and what does not — and I will tell you honestly if I think your expectations are unrealistic.
Do I have to go through all six modules?
No. The six modules describe the full range of what I offer. You pick what you actually need. Some clients come only for CV and LinkedIn optimisation. Others want the full picture from analysis to interview coaching. We decide together what makes sense for your situation — and price accordingly.
How quickly will I see results?
Clients who work on a specific application with a clear target role often have relevant interviews within 4–8 weeks. Broader repositioning takes longer — 2 to 4 months is realistic. The speed also depends on how active the market is for your profile and how consistently you apply what we work on together. I cannot accelerate the market. I can make sure your positioning is as strong as possible when you enter it.
What does it cost? Why no fixed prices on the website?
Two packages are shown in the calculator below — CV Optimisation from approx. €595 and the Executive Package from approx. €1,488. These are reference values. The actual scope and price are discussed in the first conversation. No two situations are identical, so I do not offer flat rates that pretend otherwise. What I can promise: you will know exactly what it costs before you decide. No fine print, no surprises.

All figures gross. Realistically calculated: gains taper off the closer you get to your chosen career ceiling (plateau). The “on your own” comparison models an unguided, infrequently moving career path. Those who already negotiate actively are closer to the strategy path.
